Thessaloniki Film Office

Thessaloniki Film Office is an office created by Thessaloniki City Council, as a public service in 2005, with the support of the Interregional program Interreg III. It was established to help develop the audiovisual industry of the City through promoting Thessaloniki and the opportunities the City offers to the international sector of Audiovisual productions.
Thessaloniki Film Office has as an aim to:
• boost and promote the cinematographic sector and the entire local audiovisual sector.
• facilitate audiovisual shoots and photo sessions in Thessaloniki and the surrounding area
Thessaloniki Film Office can offer a range of services free of charge to Cinema, TV, Commercial advertising and Photography production companies in an attempt to make shooting easier.
The Office’s basic operations include:
• processing permits
• filming assistance service
• location service
• permanent contact with the community, production companies and the government
In return, all productions that receive the collaboration of the Thessaloniki Film Office’s should include in their credits, the name of the Thessaloniki Film Commission and City of Thessaloniki, as well as any of the city’s public or private entities also collaborating in the filming.
