  • We are in need of a ballroom anywhere in Europe – faded grandure / patina / decaying /
Tim Walker style for a stills shoot.
Please email all submissions to jess@shootparis.com

We have a faded ballroom in our house in Norfolk. Please see our website http://www.bayfieldhall.com and go to the Long Room.
We can also put the crew up to stay.

Hi Jess, the first ballroom is in Oxfordshire. It is large and faded grandeur is exactly the right description!
The second, in glos, is a more contemporary version of distressed, and smaller, but very beautiful.

check out the Schwetzinger Schloss in the southwestern part of Germany. There are several ballrooms:

    Hi!

http://www.hammer-film-locations.co.uk/hammer.php might be interesting – we are quite used to 5 tons of sand and a crashed spitfire.

The mirrors of the ballroom are interesting as there are enough to make use of artistically without catching you out on lights or camera reflections.

We have faded grandeur dining room too, library and staircase hall. We also have a barn for green-screen space and a double storey room with white wall which can be useful sometimes too.

    Best wishes

    Hi Jess

Mellerstain House (located in the Scottish Borders) may suit your requirements. It’s a unique example of both William and Robert Adams architecture dating back to 1725, and benefits from its fabulous state rooms. All details as found on http://www.mellerstain.com or via enquiries@mellerstain.com.

    With kind regards

    Jane

Please see Stansted Park (on the Hampshire-Sussex border PO9 6DX) which has been a location as a Regency Ball (2009) 1930s upstairs-downstairs (2008), Jane Austen, and Victorian drama (2009) and is easy-access and film-friendly.

Latvia can offer few locations for you.

We have catered not only for a number of large international TV commercial shoots but also for such high profile stills shoots like Gucci Flora with Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.

Would be happy to help if we can.
