We are an independent documentary duo who are looking for stories about amazing humans and their dogs, all around the world. We have filmed in 7 countries to date (Romania, Bosnia, Italy, Nepal, Scotland, Peru and Chile).
We are now seeking new stories from anywhere in the world, but particular areas of interest for us are Africa, the Middle East, Russia/Siberia and Asia.
We are looking to team up with local researchers to help us find amazing characters and stories. We are looking for stories about fascinating and unique characters, whose relationship with their dog reflects on a country’s cultural identity.
Once we are on location, the researcher usually becomes our guide and translator. We usually pay a flat rate for research, and then a daily rate once we are filming. We generally film for between 3-7 days.
This is a low budget, independent project, and we are happy to consider working with students or those with less experience. We are a crew of two, with minimal equipment, so we do not need extensive help with logistics (flights, accommodation, transport, visas etc) as we tend to handle this ourselves. The priority for us is working with someone who can find great characters.
