    Hi All,

    I’m planning a small shoot in Sweden in a couple of weeks time. Specifically around Umea. I want to film an Ice Skater on the frozen lakes.

    After a bit of research I have the following places in mind;
    – Nydalasjön
    – Stöcksjön
    – Tavelsjön

    I’m hoping someone might be able to let me know if these are some good picks, if theres some other hidden gems in the area and what the conditions of these lakes might be in mid February?

    Will the lakes be frozen and not snowy? Also how accessible are they?

    I’m also looking for some leads on local skating talent. At the moment we’re planning on bringing someone with us from London, but would prefer it if we can find someone who knows the area. Can be male or female.

    If anyone has any info or leads on anything above, it would be much appreciated as I know very little about the area.

    Drop me a message at jamie.wiffen@mous.co if you think you can help!

    Thanks in advance

    May I suggest that you speak with http://www.kangero.com/en/, a production house in the region.

    Cheers, Matt.

    We work in that area quite often and its a good choice but for the moment global warming is hitting us quite hard. Some of the lakes in the area are frozen, but i would not call them safe as we have days with pluss degrees. I would recommend that you go out north west, in to the mountains, the lakes around Kiruna are great.
    Feel fre to e-mail me on niclas@familjenpeyron.se and please take a look at our webpage. http://www.familjenpeyron.se. No one has done more service jobbs that we have.
