I’m looking to come to Pakistan to shoot elements of a corporate video
I don’t have exact dates yet – but I expect it to be April/May 2017
I’m still in the budgeting phase

I’m guessing there’s like 3-4 travel days and 6-7 shoot days
    total 10 days or so
including some time in the northern part of Pakistan

it’s a small crew low budget project but I want it to look nice
so we’re looking for quality local DP and equipment

will need to capture PAL Pro-Res 4:2:2 files
so looking at Canon 5D or Sony A7S or equivalent

I will need to do some 2 camera interview stuff
    I have a Canon 7D with a 28-105 zoom as a 2nd cam if required

I’d need to record hi-quality sound for the interviews
I have a Zoom H5 if required – and can get radio mics if needed

I’d like to record location atmos etc directly to the camera file

I also need a few drone shots – not too many
the usual – some slow-moving high wides looking forward and down – essential
    and a few tracking shots
slow tracks sideways and forward at about 1.5-2 metres off the ground
    if its easy enough

please indicate what drone do you have? – is it an internal fixed camera/lens drone?

for lighting it will mostly be natural light
but we’d need a couple of mains/battery powered 300×300 daylight dimmable panel lights – or similar for the interview stuff

let me know what else you have in the way of gear that may be helpful
    sliders etc

    based on that:

can you give me a cost
    for

    1. a production Fixer – supply links to previous work

    2. a DP/Operator – supply links to previous work

    3. your equipment package

    4. drone/operator – supply links to previous work

    5. vehicle hire for your team and myself

    6. driver/assistant/lugger

    7. a general PA if required
that could help me/you with general prep and organising cutaway locations and people etc
also translation and for preparing subtitles as we will get interviews in local language

I hope this is clear enough to be able to give me a ballpark package cost
of the above as broken down as you can
just so I can get my head around costs in Pakistan

please quote in your local currency – thanks

is there a way I can get a cost latest by end of Tuesday 24th Jan Pakistan time?

let me know if you have any questions at mark@affinityfilm.com

    thanks

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Try the guys at Indievisuals. We have had some good feedback on them.

Also you might want to see previous requests for filming in Pakistan on The Location Guide’s pre-production forum including X 5 companies providing production services for film crews wanting to shoot in pakistan here:

    thanks
    I appreciate the contact

I’d looked at Individuals and emailed them yesterday
    as yet they haven’t replied
they’re in Karachi – a long way from where I need to be

I also emailed and did have a response from a company called AKS in Islamabad

    http://www.aks-films.com/

which is more the area I need – but they seem rather expensive

do you know anything about them?…

    Hi Mark,

No, I don’t know AKS but I see the have worked for BBC and a bunch of other people. I’d ask them who they worked with from the BBC and call that person up and ask for a reference and find out more about them.

Let us know how you get on.

    All the best,

    Murray
