I would like to find a rainforest or tropical forest in Mainly Latin America or Caribbean. Is there a particular rainforest that doesn’t have the large snakes and poisonous animals? I visited the El Yunque rainforest in Puerto Rico, which is pretty safe. I also understand that Hawaii’s rainforest (although not in Latin America and Caribbean) is safer as well. This location is for a film.

You ca contact me at gc@gcrestproductions.com

The Commonwealth of Dominica sounds like exactly what you are looking for. Beautifully rich, virgin rainforests..stunning vistas and best of all there aren’t any poisonous animals on the island. Scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were also shot here and more recently a few episodics with the Discovery Channel. Lets talk.

    P.S
The Commonwealth of Dominica should not to be mistaken for the Dominican Republic. They are two totally different islands.
    Thanks

    Hi Merri,
Have a look at Harry Hook’s “The Lord of The Flies” which we shot in Portland Jamaica with some great Tropical Rain Forest and rivers and waterfalls and mountains (and wild beaches). Of course with a cast of children the rain forest had to be extremely safe and we had no problems over 12 weeks of shooting. As a musician, you might be interested to know that there is also a world class recording studio there too.

Costa Rica has some great national parks that include relatively safe Tropical Rain Forest also.
