    Hi N,
I’m a perfectly bilingual (dual-national) line producer/location scout/fixer available to fully assist your upcoming shoot based around urban basktball: finding appropriate people, researching & fixing locations, booking camera, etc, driving crew bus..
I’m pleased to contact you by e-mail to discuss your project requirements, budget/costs, timing..
    Best regards,

in reply to: Tunnel in Paris

    Dear Jacob,
For inside Paris, my underground-contact ‘h2O’ recommends:
    http://www.datacombes.com/pwg/index/category/44-les_capucins
a large, easily accessible quarry several stories below in the 14th District. However, he reminds me that tunnels just outside the city limits like those suggested by eric.grebille & idf-film are closer in size & architecture to those in your reference photos. Let me know if I can be of any (economical-style) assistance during the next 2 weeks.

Considering your short time-frame, I agree with M. Ashton: ask advice from Sophie at http://www.parisfilm.fr
and if you have more time, you may consult Paris-underground specialist h2O: http://www.datacombes.com/pwg
Please keep me informed about your film and/or any further locations info,

    Massimo,
Please see below a few pix of 2 villas designed, constructed & decorated by Chinese architects. Located inside Paris, these interiors are distinctively Chinese, but definitely more sophisticated than typical and offer several unique possibilities.
    Please see also http://paris-location-scout.blogspot.fr/
    Thanking you for your atention,

in reply to: shooting in exotic location

    Dear Nela Mokra,
If you are sure that you don’t prefer the Adriatic coast..consider Paradise Villa Hotel on Longkawi Island, Malaysia: very nice, sunny 30° weather (March to May is best season), private seaside villa w/pool, lush-exotic vegetation, transparent seascape, healthy eco-friendly environment..Friendly MDeC Film Office & my local contacts assure very reasonable budget. I will be scouting there in January 2012 for a European-TV-Documentary & happy to find & negociate your 6-bedroom villa at same time.

    in reply to: Paris Cafes

    Hello from Paris = paris.location.scout@gmail.com

Please see below a small sample from my ‘portfolio’. As you may also see on my web site, http://paris-location-scout.blogspot.com/ (web-albums ‘Ile-de-France Locations’, ‘Paris Street Scenes for A2 and Canal+’), I have experience in night-time photography & cinematography. I also shoot often on rue Montorgeuil (the cafe in your sample) and I know ‘film-friendly’ cafe-bar-restaurant owners in several other Paris neighborhoods (St. Germain, the Latin Quarter..), including one used by Woody Allen for ‘Midnight in Paris’.
Please contact me as soon as possible. I may be ‘scouting’ away from Paris between December 6-18.

    ..à bientôt..
    James-Victor (inside Paris)

in reply to: small airport and customs

    Dear Mirelle,
Sunny, ‘film-friendly’ Malta could really be a perfect winner for your specific needs. As our colleague Maria Ida Bernabei / MFO mentions below, MIA is well designed yet has a ‘small-local-airport’ feel’, appropriate customs area(s) and co-operative customs personnel.
Also quick, direct flights from Amsterdam + other cities. She and/or I can also help negotiate reduced rates on Air Malta flights.

in reply to: Paris prison location

    Hi,
We are presuming you require both interior + exterior = prison wall(s), inner courtyard, watch-tower.. ..?..
    You are very welcome,
    James

in reply to: Paris prison location

    Hi Myungchan Kang,
Yes, I can help you scout & negociate ‘Fresnes Prison’ and/or another real prison in Paris ‘Ile de France’ region and/or Marseille, France and/or suggest a 3rd possibility in a sunny, ‘film-friendly’ southern european (EU) country.
Will you shoot film and/or video? Estimated crew size = n° of persons? Estimated n° of actors/actrices? Estimated time on location = n° days and/or hours?
First photos, suggestions & answers from prison administrators can be available begining next week. Successful negociations can be concluded in August and/or early September.
