Hello Jessica, I have several possible locations for you in different parts of Croatia that look just like that.

Do you know when exactly in March? That will decide which ones I’ll suggest to you.

    Dear Franek,

Some parts of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, could act as Warsaw. The forecast says that almost the whole first week and some six days in a row right around the middle of February should be sunny, with temperatures around 6-7 deg. C.

I sent you an e-mail with more details.

    Dear Merri,

Croatia offers what you need: competitive incentives, variety of locations (mountains, clear rivers, forests, vast planes, beautiful coast, almost 1000 islands, scenic roads, picturesque hills, historic or contemporary urban cityscapes…) and professional, experienced, English-speaking local crew members. A big plus for you: the prices are lower than in many other European countries. The process to get all the necessary permits is not too complicated and I’d be happy to help you with it, as well with the rest of the organisation.

Feel free to send me the script or storyboard, and I’ll send you my location suggestions.
I’ll e-mail you my contact details.

    Best,

    Mirta

    Alex,

If you’d like to shoot around Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia or Serbia, I can organise the whole shooting for you, including gyro stabilized technology equipment AND experienced operators for such equipment.

    Hi Marios,

If quick access to locations and cutting the production costs are important to you, while not compromising on breathtaking mountain locations, Croatia or Bosnia might be a good solution for you.

For instance, both Zagreb (the capital of Croatia) and Sarajevo (the capital of Bosnia) have snow-covered mountains right above the city. You can get up there from the comfort of your downtown hotel very fast (in case of Zagreb, it’s less than an hour). If you are after wilderness, there are beautiful mountains with “untouched” nature a little bit further from the both capitals, while the Slovenian Alps offer a wider choice of ski resorts and alpine-like, quaint vilages.

With two decades of experience in location scouting, organisation of the shooting and location management for international film, TV crews or commercials, I have very good business contacts in all three countries. I can recommend you locations, scout them for you, organise your shooting, get you local mountain guides, mountain safety personnel, vehiclels, as well as any additional crew members and equipment you might need. My team handles driving, camera-, production- and talent assistance, catering, accomodation reservations, as well as all necessary permits. I also organise casting, if you need local talent.

Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

    Dear Jim,

I am a fixer experienced in working with foreign TV and documentary film crews in Croatia and Bosnia. I also have experience with travel stories and good connections in tourism industry.

Normally, I help the producers or directors, before they get here, with the story background and fact checking, I provide story ideas or help develop them, suggest who to interview, provide contacts with local officials, obtain all necessary shooting (and other) permits, and organize their stay and shooting here in Croatia.

During the shooting, I travel with the crew, serving as a fixer, interpreter and location manager.

After the shooting is done, being a professional interpreter and translator, I often also translate the interviews, with exact time codes.

Recently I helped a French TV documentary series crew: I organized the whole schedule for their shooting in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, their transportation, accomodation and food, served as liaison with the persons they planned to interview, found and negotiated locations for the shooting, helped with fact checking, and even served as a set dresser.

And, last, but not least, I am good with intersting and unusual ideas :)

When I’m not on location with foreign TV crews, I work in tourism and services industry as a consultant and coach.

I have already worked with Canadians, both English and French speaking, during the war, and it was a very good experience, so I’m looking forward to working with you. If we agree, I can make my schedule free for the preparation period (along my other work) and the shooting between November 8 to 24th 2013.

I’ll send you my CV and more details,

    Best,

    Mirta,
