Bristol and South West England kickstart Production Guild of Great Britain’s new national and regional committees scheme

The Production Guild of Great Britain has launched its new National and Regional Committees initiative.  Bristol and South West England represent the first completed committee – and Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the North West of England and Yorkshire are scheduled to follow in the coming months.

The Diversity and Inclusion Mentor Scheme is designed to help underrepresented talent at entry, early and experienced levels reach the next level of their career in their chosen field. It is part of PGGB’s Mission Inclusion programme (#MI21) delivered in partnership with the British Film Commission, designed by PGGB’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Group to empower production personnel to expand their networks and ensure they are hiring diverse production teams.

The fifth annual LMGI Awards took place at the Alex Theatre in Glendale over the weekend, with Dunkirk and Baby Driver honoured as part of this year’s winners. Baby Driver proved to be the most popular production of the night, scoring Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Film and Outstanding Film Commission – the latter for the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment.
