Bristol’s The Bottle Yard to welcome new Disney+ series rivals

The casting for Disney+ much anticipated 8-part series Rivals, based on the much loved novel by Jilly Cooper, was announced on 21 March. Set against the backdrop of 1980’s England, the series will feature the same drama and success of the social elite featured in it’s original source inspiration. Produced by Happy Prince, which is a part of ITV Studios, the series will be filming at The Bottle Yard Studios’ new TBY2 facility.

GBP12 million expansion commences for Bristol’s Bottle Yard Studios

The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol is expanding into a neighbouring industrial site. Scheduled for completion this summer, the film and television production facility will undergo a GBP12 million redevelopment supported by the West of England Combined Authority (WECA). This expansion is designed to create three new audio stages, increasing the total stages on offer to 11 and, in turn, maintaining the growth of media production infrastructure in Bristol and the West of England.
