An American remake of the critically acclaimed French film, The Intouchables, is currently being filmed in Philadelphia. Entitled, Untouchable, the remake stars Bryan Cranston as a quadriplegic millionaire who hires a younger man, played by Kevin Hart, to be his caregiver.
Netflix’s homage to 1980’s science-fiction, Stranger Things, was this year’s surprise TV winner at the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards, taking home the accolade for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The new series brought an end to Downton Abbey’s two year winning streak at SAG.
In a historic win, Damien’s Chazelle’s La La Land took home all seven of the awards it was nominated for, including Best Screenplay and Best Original Song. As an ode to the golden age of Hollywood musicals, La La Land was filmed largely in the Greater Los Angeles area.
