Following the successful release of season five’s first instalment in September, the Netflix premiere of the final Money Heist season’s second part will take place on 3 December 2021. The fifth and final series of the popular Spanish crime drama has been filmed across Denmark, Italy, Panama, Portugal, Spain and Thailand – and the show’s creator says that the last instalment of the season will focus on the emotional aspects of the characters’ journey.

English director David Yates will receive this year’s Eva Monley Award from the Location Managers Guild International. The filmmaker – who directed the last four Harry Potter films as well as the Fantastic Beasts franchise – is being celebrated for evidencing ‘above and beyond’ support of the work of location professionals. He will receive the prize at the 8th Annual LGMI Awards on Saturday 23 October, which is free to stream but requires registration.

The Czech Republic’s Culture Minister Lubomír Zaorálek has transferred an extra EUR12 million, or CZK300 million, to the State Cinematography Fund in an attempt to attract new film projects to the country.  Drawing from state budget reserves, the 2021 budget for national production incentives has now grown from EUR31.5 million to EUR43.5 million, or the equivalent of CZK800 million increasing to CZK1.1 billion.
