Scottish Screen has selected five production companies to receive financing through their Slate Fund. The fund originally intended to offer four companies a share of GBP400,000. The investment in project development now stands at GBP1.1 million over a two year period.
Hungary’s tax relief system for the film industry has been amended to encourage even more production in the Eastern European hub. The cash rebate of up to 20% of eligible Hungarian production expenses has been amended to include a further 5% rebate on
Ruth Harley has stepped down as chief executive of the New Zealand Film Commission to take the same role at Screen Australia. She will be taking over from Lyn Maddock on November 15. Maddock has been acting chief executive since the beginning of Screen Australia in July.
