Filming in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a popular filming location, especially for production companies based in India, and it attracts cost-conscious productions looking for tea plantations, beaches and colonial looks.

Recent vistors have included Mumbai-based Equinox Films, who shot on location in a remote part of Sri Lanka for a new campaign for the Amazon Kindle, and Eeksaurus Productions who worked on a spot for the Samsung Z1 mobile phone.

There is all the necessary logistical support for international productions and Sri Lanka is known for the speed at which film permissions are approved.

We use Galle Dutch Fort frequently and local authorities always give their full support and co-operation.
