No fewer than eight new TV shows will be filmed in New York State throughout the 2011-12 season. The state’s expanded and revised production incentives have been credited with attracting 70 different projects so far this year, with a mix of location and studio work likely.
Hawaii’s filming incentives will stay at 15% for at least the rest of 2011 after a proposal to expand the scheme stalled in State Legislature. Supporters were calling for an incentive increase to 40% on some of the islands.
