Registration is now open for this year’s Straight 8 contest, held in conjunction with ADFEST, the Advertising Producers Association and Cinelab London.The contest calls on all companies working within APAC and MENA regions to submit a project on a roll of super 8mm film with no second takes, editing or post-production.

The Incentive Evaluation Commission has filed a report, advising lawmakers to allow Oklahoma’s film incentive to sunset in 2024. While the report itself isn’t legally binding, it could influence lawmakers to cease funding for the incentive when the sunset date arrives.

The British Film Institute has laid out its funding strategy for the next five years, under the name BFI2022.
