Hindley appointment comes after her temporary leadership since September after the departure of former editor Phillipa Kowarsky. The new lead commissioning editor will report to director of Unscripted Kate Phillips.

Television series Peaky Blinders, Baptiste (pictured right) for Television, feature films Mothering Sunday, Benediction and A Christmas Number One among productions backed by the scheme.
Produced by Mammoth Screen for the BBC, the second series of Noughts + Crosses will consist of four 60-minute episodes. Filming begins in South Africa in June, where the first series shot in 2018.
