Paul what brings you and Get Set Hire to FOCUS this year?
We are excited to be at Focus this year to showcase our equipment hire. As proud supporters of ADGREEN, we are looking forward to continuing to support their cause and promoting the environmentally friendly products we have available for hire and sale.
What are you hoping to get out of the event and what in particular will you be promoting at FOCUS 2018?
Being our first year exhibiting at FOCUS, we’d like to take this opportunity to meet with new clients to introduce our services and give the visitors a better understanding our One Stop Shoot Essentials offering.
Please tell us briefly about Get Set Hire?
Founded in 2012, Get Set Hire is the product of the 30 years ‘on set’ experience of its managing director Paul Miller. Paul saw that there was a need in the industry for a production friendly company to provide logistical support and supply all the behind camera equipment that a shoot requires. Our philosophy is to help the production run as smoothly as possible by taking some of the strain from the production team. Whether you need walkie talkies, a gas hob for your food stylist or sofa’s for your client Get Set has hundreds of useful shoot essentials. We are probably the only company in the world where you could hire both a make-up mirror and a kitchen sink!
What productions have you provided Equipment and services for in the past few years?
We supply the majority of TV commercials shot in London with their behind camera equipment needs – our radios, directors chairs, tables and rain tents can be found at shoots all over London every day of the week.
We are also the only supplier of Food Styling equipment in London so pretty much every roast turkey you will see during an ad break this Christmas will have been cooked in one of our ovens. Many TV programs – especially the foody ones are also supplied by us and the TV & Film side of our business is steadily growing. Also, lots of London fashion week shows come to us for their backstage hair and make up requirements.
I can’t really think of a big name brand that we haven’t done something for this year.

Paul Miller has worked in the TV Commercial industry for 30 years, he has been a Model Maker, Special Effects Technician, Props Master and Animation Director. He has worked on over a thousand TV spots, music videos and short films. As founder of Get Set Hire Paul’s extensive shoot experience has shaped the company’s product range and guided its helpful service ethos.
